Store Connect (Shopify / WooCommerce)
When a distributor connects an external store (Shopify or WooCommerce) to Dististock, we collect and store the API credentials they provide (API key, access token / consumer secret, and store URL) for the sole purpose of retrieving that distributor's own product catalog on their behalf.
- Credentials are encrypted at rest and are never displayed back in full once saved.
- Connecting a store causes Dististock's servers to make direct, server-to-server API calls to the distributor's own Shopify or WooCommerce store using the credentials supplied, on a schedule the distributor controls.
- Only product data (name, SKU, price, stock, images, category) is retrieved and stored.
- Disconnecting a store, or a distributor account being closed, removes the stored credentials from our database.
- Credentials are never shared with any other distributor, member, or third party.
